Does Insulation need to be Removed after Water Damage.

A business in Longview, WA was a victim to water damage from the roof. SERVPRO was called out to assess the damage and begin mitigation.

Water damage from a upper floor or roof can be invasive to any home or business. Often times water will travel though the walls and can potentially affect every level of your property. In this building the water affected the ceilings, floors, and walls. Our water technicians began extracting standing water, and removing affected materials such as the insulation.

As pictured here you can see the wet areas that were left under the insulation. Our customer was impressed with the drying equipment we use and originally thought it would take much longer.
